Tim Paul lives and works in Manhattan, creating kid literature art, lifestyle editorial art, and maps for fantasy novels. His kid lit/lifestyle illustrations are whimsical and colorful, with quirky characters. He’s worked for Disney Interactive, Marvel Comics, Tor.com, Picador Press, Hachette, Storytime Magazine, San Diego Magazine, Lakeland Boating, Triathlete Magazine, NeXT Magazine, Family Circle, and more.
He’s created fantasy maps for such notable authors as N. K. Jemisen (Broken Earth Trilogy), Andrzej Sapkowski (The Witcher Series), Brent Weeks (The Night Angel series), Fonda Lee (The Jade War Trilogy), M.A. Carrick (Rook & Rose series). Tim has done maps for Riot Games, Armed Mind, Masters of Malt, Pride of Heritage, and many other companies.
Outside of illustrating, Tim enjoys cooking with his husband, and hosting dinner parties, and outdoor events, like their annual Pie and Ice Cream social, where they bake a lot of pies and make ice cream, and invite anyone in NY to come by. They also give out free pie to anyone that comes by during the social. Because who would say no to free pie and ice cream in a park?
